How it works
The Academy looks at the work, checks the evidence and writes up a finding. Every laureate gets a place in the Hall and a citation that says exactly what they did.
Citations from 2020 on are open to the public. The Board’s deliberations are not.

The Board approved the 2026 award on 8 October and it went into the Hall on 12 October. The citation and the laureate’s response are both up. The ceremony ended before anyone could offer further remarks.
